Achievements with Overstock.com

The VP of Operations for Overstock.com mentioned that one of their goals was to build a credit card partner program similar to the one Amazon.com had as it was the best in the industry. We located, amongst 1000s of employees at Amazon.com, the 2 people who had built their credit card partner program and recruited one of them to leave Amazon, relocate to Salt Lake City, and take a position with Overstock. We managed to fend off a significant counter offer by Amazon and Overstock ultimately got their credit card partner program. It was such an upset to Amazon’s senior leadership they changed their entire non-compete structure to try and prevent any such further upsets. This Employee moved on to C level position at Overstock.

Overstock.com had a lofty goal to expand their site globally, in order to meet this goal they needed to add 50 top notch Java Developers to their staff very quickly. We placed over 40 Java developers, 90% of whom we had to relocate in from out of state. That year Overstock was profitable for the first time in 5 years. We even received a thank you letter from the CEO, Patrick Byrne, who stated they couldn’t’ have achieved that goal without our help.

Infosys is a Global Professional Services firm and implementation partner for all of the large ERP packages such as SAP and Oracle Aps. They have 200,000 employees world-wide and only a handful of recruiting partners. As such, they have very stringent requirements of their vendors. I built and managed a team of recruiters for our business with Infosys which submitted over 3000 highly skilled technical implementation consultants a year for Infosys’ open positions and placed over a 130 people our first year with them.
